Here is a mystery fighter that has never been seen before in any official dragon ball series or movies.  But is widely popular throughout the dragon ball fan community.   Lets see who can name him and what he is?

For any dragon ball fans, I found this, what I believe to be a fan made series, called Dragon Ball Super.  It's really quite good.  It's Japanese but has English sub titles so you can follow along.

It seems to follow along with the 2 recent movies.  Then takes it farther.  It was written somewhat differently then the movies but still held to the story.  Even tries to explain how Vegeta managed to acquire the god form.

Why do you think it is fan made?  It looks very typical of a Japanese company that has also put out Sailormoon and they are not fan made but a real company. This is just DBZ in Japanese.

Because it's not on a official site.  And the official sources have not mentioned anything about this new series.  That's why I think it's fan made.

Okay, so after some research, I found that DBS is in fact written by the original DBZ author Akira Toriyama.  And is being produced by Toei Animation.  So it is the real deal.  Cool.

Because I watch Japanese anime with subtitles as they are more accurate and not "Americanized" (For example Sailormoon was made real ditzy even though in the original Japanese she is not THAT ditzy) I recognized that it was a REAL company and not fan made.

Also ... just because it is put onto a fan site does not mean the video itself is fan made lol

I know what you mean.  I have gotten used to hearing their "Americanized" voices.  That when I hear their voices in "Japanese" it gets a little difficult to tell who is who.  Goku sounds like a girl.  lol

And yeah, I am eagerly awaiting the next episodes.  Episode 38 had Vegeta (universe 7) vs Hit (universe 6).  Vegeta as ssgss (super saiyan god super saiyan but now they are calling it ssb.  super saiyan blue) got his ass handed to him and now it's Goku's turn to face Hit.  At this point, it's suggested that Vegeta may actually be a little stronger then Goku now.  But from what I can tell, they seem to be equal in strength.  It's been said that Hit, although very powerful, is not quite as powerful as a super saiyan god.  But Hit has to the ability to stop time for 0.1 seconds.  And this is how he defeated Vegeta.  It will be interesting to see how Goku can handle that technique.

Got to wait 20 more hours for the subtitled version of episode 39 but the raw version is out now.  And man, what a fight!  Best fight so far!  I only wish I could understand what they are saying.

Goku is getting hammered by Hit, but then starts remembering a forgotten art form called kaioken.  He used this technique against Vegeta when they first met, assending to level 4 kaioken.  Then used it again against Captain Ginyu and Frieza on planet Namik, reaching level 20 in a last ditched effort to stop Frieza.  Then once more when he fought Pikkon in the otherworld tournament.  There he called it "super kaioken", combined with ssj2 (super saiyan 2) power.  There were hints of it's use in GT but Goku had not "officially" used the kaioken technique again since his fight with Pikkon, until now.

Episode 40 is out and subtitled.  This episode is the conclusion to the tournament.  And the power up Goku added IS kaioken x10.  And while using SSGSS (super saiyan god super saiyan) form, he has awesome power now!   Come watch and see how the fight ends.  You won't believe it.

Well now that team universe 7 won the match, they get to make a wish from a dragon god.  lol  He is spawned from planet sized dragon balls.  I suppose episode 41 will be when they make the wish.  After that, I don't know.  But since we are only up to episode 40, there is still plenty of story to tell.
