How to disable the new drop-down search UI in Firefox 34/35

I hate the way the Firefox 35 search box works. It is even more annoying than it was in 34 and I want how it was before that back.

I found out how and am happy again. I thought if anyone else hates the new search box I would share this here. Hopefully this is helpful to you as well.

I have FF installed but unfortunately, I don't use it very often.  Definitely not often enough to have noticed the new search box.  But thanks for the tip.
