KT got a kidney transplant !

 Yesterday KT went up to London Ont. for a transplant. I just talked to her briefly today, but she wanted me to let people know here the good news. She is recovering right now. but will hopefully be up for talking to people soon.

That's awesome!  I hope everything goes smoothly and she's back on her feet soon.

  Yep things seem to be going well so far.

I talked to her on christmas eve and she seems to be doing pretty good so far.  She sent me a few pictures but I'm not sure if she wanted me to share them or not.

 I talked to KT briefly a few days ago, things are not going the best with her health at the moment. transplant might not be taking so well. Lets all hope things improve for her sake.

 I just got off the phone with her tonight. She is doing better, she's been in London at the hospital for awhile getting treated, but she should be coming home in a few days. So she is doing better.

Back home but today (Sunday) kidney started hurting again and I started swelling in the legs. I drank more in case I was dehydrated as that flushes the kidney more and helps it work but this kidney seems difficult. I might do more blood work Monday even though I just got some done on Sat. Tuesday I talk with the Nephrology team again but over the phone instead of travelling to the transplant hospital. Still if I swell more and then pain doesn't subside I might make another trip depending on what they tell me to do.

My face is so round again .. moon face / chipmunk cheeks from the IV Prednisone  ... I look like a .... stranger lol ... but not as bad as when I was 16 and got moon face.

You would think that with how much prednisone you've taken over the years, that your body might have adjusted to it a little?

Heck Jeff not THAT much at once! I just talked to one lady who actually ended up in a Coma because they put her on 80mg twice a day ... I don't know how much they had me on but I do know when they were sending me home I had just finished 60mg that day ... now I am down to 20mg and I am still a bear to be around. Can't wait til it is lower .. at least 7.5mg but I am hoping they allow me to go down to 5mg one day..

Right now with the high Prednisone and the other 2 meds causing my tremors I look like a crack addict except with perfect teeth lol

I am staying away from people  not just because of the Pandemic but also because people would probably end up hating me because I get super mad super fast and am very impatient and moody and cry out of frustration and am VERY impatient and sooo impatient and get mad fast..
