Yeah. So that video proved something I had suspected all along. That mounting a AIO radiator vertically with the hoses on top, is a bad idea. But something that I never even took into consideration was mounting a AIO radiator horizontally at the bottom of the case.

It sure wouldn't be a common configuration, it wouldn't be practical due to the layout of most cases.

Indeed! There are a fair number of cases out there that can support a rad at the bottom of the case. Including my Focus G. But with my Focus G for example, adding just a fan to the bottom is fine for supplemental air flow, but the case feet are to short to allow enough air flow for a radiator. But other cases, like micro ATX for example, don't give you a lot of options for cooling configurations.

When planning for a liquid cooled build you have to plan for the cooling first and if your stuff will work with that case, not pick a case and try to make stuff work with it. I'd rather learn from others mistakes, rather than make them myself.

Here you go. This is for those liquid cooling newbies that want to get their feet wet. No pun intended.

So I have been doing some more work on my system.

I had relocated the rear mounted 120mm radiator and fan to the front, in the hard drive bay area. Had to remove 4 of the 5 HDD sleds to make it fit. In the rear fans place, added a rear mounted Phanteks Glacier D140 RGB distribution plate. Replaced the EK-XRES 140 pump/res with a Corsair XD3 RGB pump/res. Replaced the EK-Supremacy EVO CPU block with a Corsair XC7 RGB CPU block. Replaced the XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT FE and BYKSKI full cover block with a Powercolor Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Devil. And then added a coolant temp sensor to the exit line of the top mounted 360mm radiator.

Here is what it looks like now. Note. I haven't finished the cable management yet.
