WTF Windows Update!

Twice before in the last 5 years I had a bad Windows Update.  This time was the third. But I didn't have to redo the update this time or do Windows Restore like before.  This time I had no internet .. no matter what ... but after the 3rd reboot I suddenly had internet again. WTF Windows Update. Why do you frustrate me in this way? Take away anything from me but NOT the interwebs! That is my lifeline to my life! lol

Anyway I finally got my net back.

Has anyone else had any issues with the latest Windows update? Dave said he did 3 computers and had no issues.

I have seen many bad windows update installs but only twice saw undesirable effects from it.  One was for a video card driver if I recall.  And the other, was for windows XP SP2.

If you have a gaming card, your better off grabing driver updates from Nivida or Amd. the windows updates usually disable some of the features or in some cases, totally f### up your driver performance. I always right click /Hide on any vid card updates from windows. saves a lot of headaches in the long run.

I am aware of that myself.  But it's that my server PC has a legacy integrated Intel graphics chipset.  And there was no updated driver listed on Gateway's web site.  So I took a chance and it failed.
