OneEyed told me about this

I was about to say, when did you start watching the tech Jesus?  lol.  That is what the community calls Steve from Gamers Nexus.

As I've been saying all along.  The number one thing is that there is nowhere near enough charging station infostructure to support plugin EV's to begin with.  The range is poor, even on a good day.  250 miles or 400 kilometers max range is not good when it takes a super-fast charger over an hour to recharge.  And a 220-volt home charger will take over 8 hours.  Then factor in extreme heat or cold, it will cut that range nearly in half while almost doubling recharge time.  And has no one given any thought of the demands it will put on our already overwhelmed electrical grid if even just one twentieth of a nation would adopt an EV?

The cost of these cars is still out of reach for the average household income levels.  And I'm not talking statistically either.  I'm talking realistically.  There are millions of people out there that can't afford to buy a brand-new car.  Let alone, properly maintain the old car they may have now.

I think how they all see it is it is inevitable so let's do it. No thought of hyping it. To them it is already a go!

It certainly seems that way.  It's become more evident lately with the push for AI.  GPU's with Cuda cores (or any RT hardware support) will already have some AI support.  But the next generation of CPU's will have AI accelerators baked in.  And MS has already jumped on that bandwagon when they released Co-Pilot for Windows 11.

I thought it was just me that noticed that :P I hate air mattresses :P

It wasn't just you.  But using an air mattress is far better than not using one when you're sleeping in the bed of a pickup truck on a camping trip.  lol

So you fixed it?

Yes I did!  It works perfectly.  And in fact, I was thinking of doing a vanilla game version of the trader market and submit it to nexus mods for public download once 1.0 goes public stable.  You rarely see multi trader prefabs, and non this nice.  But I am still not happy with the internal layout as it is now.  It's all tables and chairs inside.  Not much else to fulfill the shopping experience you might expect to see.

Australia has been running into issues with how long it takes to charge some electric cars and limited charge stations:

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/topstories/why-many-australian-electric-vehicle-owners-are-getting-fed-up/ar-BB1pQb34

Right now Australia is in Winter so of course Charge times are slower but people are saying that guy was HOGGING the Charger even though it takes his car a long time to charge and charging there is free (unlike here in Canada. How is it there in the USA?)

Yet they say slower charging is better than faster:

So they are suggested people buy themselves portal chargers:

I didn't notice this until later.  But when I installed a BIOS update on my 9th gen Intel system, (rom version 2004, and then again with 2101) that it quietly enabled the firmware TPM.

I installed the BIOS updates, then go back to the BIOS after it's completed and reconfigure some personal settings like XMP and my overclock settings and all.  I made sure that rebar is on and firmware TPM is off.  Then let the computer reboot.  The computer then power cycles 3 to 4 times as it goes through memory training.  This is a normal process when enabling XMP profiles.  It basically unlocks the full advertised speed of your ram.  But during that memory training process (both times) firmware TPM and secure boot got re-enabled.  Even the main board venders are trying to get everyone ready to install windows 11 if the system can support it.

It was natural to assume that the 13th gen Intel system would have firmware TPM enabled by default.  Windows 11 "supposedly" has a better CPU core scheduler than windows 10.  And with a CPU that has 16 cores / 24 threads, 8 of which being efficiency cores, that core management is required.  I guess that would be nice if the user is concerned about power management?  But the fact that windows 10 can manage them just fine, leads me to believe this whole core schedule thing is just another hype train point to make users want to upgrade to windows 11.

You said it helped but I was skinnier at that time and perhaps only helped minimally. :P

So true.  But it did provide some temporary pain relief.  You know that air mattress is hard on the back.

I thought it was just me that noticed that :P I hate air mattresses :P

I have FINALLY figured it out!  Well, the part about the new traders kicking you out on horde night.  You need a trader_teleport entity inside the base grounds.  I didn't understand how to use this before.  But now I do.  It's really interesting how the Devs used this entity block.  Placing 10 or more of varying sizes in very strategic places.  I assume that it's to prevent players from using exploits and building up against or inside a trader base?

I've tested this on my testing server and it's working perfectly.  The new traders will no longer kick you out on horde night when the trader open 24/7 mod is active.  Without it, you will get kicked out every night.  lol.  The next map reset will have the fixed trader bases.

So you fixed it?
