I thought this would be a good thread as I found this really interesting! This thread could have videos on comparing computer repair shops as well as tech support stories to share.

I've seen this video before. And I do agree that it can be painfully shocking how oblivious some people are when it comes to checking a system over for simple mistakes. A stick of ram not seated correctly, or a plug not plugged in correctly or at all. A bent CPU pin or debris in the CPU socket. A simple check list goes on and on.

Geek squad are fucking idiots. Worked there 2 months, I was the only one barely skilled. Fuck em.

Oh wow! THAT explains a LOT! Just like OneEyed's sister who used to work at Canadian Tire in the automotive repair department and she told me stories how she was one of the few who actually KNEW anything about cars!! Most just are skilled enough to check the computer database to look up parts needed and that is all. So many don't even know how to put on windshield wipers!!! It is crazy! I actually had mine fly off in a rain storm after they put them on!

Oh wow! Now I understand why that friend of yours that worked at that car shop we went to, wanted to offer me a full-time job on the spot. LOL

You might find this interesting. (If you copy/paste the link into a browser window, it is a playlist of a whole series)

That makes sense actually. Since there are cases where some videos could be part of a multi part series. It helps fuel that binge watching state of mind. lol

Like this one? It is a playlist as well on PC building but many vids before 2020:

Yup. Another good example. Linus Tech Tips has had many of those multi part series.
